My daughter's name is "Cadence" but we call her "Cady".

We're currently in Marietta -- just outside Atlanta; but we're actually relocating in March to Charleston (nothing like moving w/a wee one!)

Thank you all for the sympathy; it's kind of an awkward thing to mention upon introduction, but I imagine he'll come up from time to time so it's best to just loop him in with my family explanation.  I'll be sure to pop by the blue/pink poll -- looks like a great group here, thank you for welcoming me.

Well, since I just found this thread, I guess I better fill in even though I've been here for ages....

My name is Amanda, mom to Dave, 3 1/2 and Alexa 13 months. I have a big hairy Siberian Husky and a fat cat also. Until recently I was a SAHM but am looking to return to work - I haven't decided yet if I am pleased about this decision, I guess I will know when I actually have a real job LOL. Right now I am temporarily working for the Census.

I love to read, do fill-in puzzles, scrapbook although I haven't done any in ages and some crafty things.

As I have also never posted here..

My name is Marissa. My DH and I met in the Army. We are both out now, and living in Texarkana. DH has a son, Logan, from a previous marriage who will be turning 9 this July. WOW does time fly! I remember when he was 3-4 y/o! We have been TTC for about 18 mo now and are seeing a RE. I lost my brother to an accidental drug over dose a little over a year ago, and it is still hard. His son had just turned 2 before his death. On a brighter note I have 2 wonderful dogs. Patches a 9 y/o boarder collie mix, and Tucker a 2 y/o mini Doxie. Both are great. We also have a cat that has adopted us permently after I took her and her 3 kittens in last Aug. I got the babies adopted, but she likes us a little too much. I love my animals, and my family. I am glad to be here, and hope to learn a lot from everyone.

Hello everyone I am Ashlea.
I am a wife and full time mommy to a son, Gerard Jr. We moved from Florida to Ohio in February so that my son could have some of his family around. I will soon be working full time in addition to being a good wife and mommy.

Mother to Blanka (b. Dec 09) and two angel babies

WWW
« Reply #74 on: May 19, 2010, 02:34:57 AM »

Hello everyone!  I'm Kimberly

I found this forum via twitter (my handle is @fertilityflower for those of you who are interested).  What about me...well, I'm a mother to a 6 month old - Blanka. She is my third pregnancy. The first two pregnancies, I miscarried.  While I thought that the first miscarriage within the realm of statistics, the second one really made me wonder if I had a problem MAINTAINING a pregnancy (a different problem entirely from those of us who have trouble becoming pregnant). Three months after the 2nd miscarriage, I was pregnant again and thankfully carried (her) to term.  Now, I'm thinking about the next baby...

I am an economist by schooling and worked as one for some time following graduate school. It was a great way to get published and was interesting work but the hours required for my particular niche left me a little burnt out. I left in 2005 to teach math to adults wishing to get their GED. LOVED that job. Fantastic!

Husband and I moved to a different location and now I'm starting a new project. It's called Fertility Flower. After the first miscarriage, I became really, really interested in the sympto-thermal method (˝charting,˝ Taking Charge of Your Fertility, etc...).  I started out charting by pencil and paper and then quickly found sites that chart online. I wasn't entirely satisfied with any of them, so it was actually my husband who said, ˝well, why don't you do your own...˝ and the seed was planted in my brain.  Now, over a year later - looks like we're going to start beta testing the site soon.

You never know what you'll up doing in this life, do you...
