Really, I'm whining a little bit but mostly I'm looking for real answers if anybody knows any. I really am not sleeping. I go to bed at midnight (that's when dh keeps me up till ) I wake up about once an hour to hour and a half and by the time the 4-6 am wake up comes I am wide awake. Like cracked out can't relax and sleep. The problem is it isn't that I'm not tired I am I just can't sleep.....I thought maybe it was because I nap in the afternoon, though usually this would affect falling asleep not staying that way so I eliminated it the last two days...no help. What is going on?

Your pregnant I don't know a preggo that can sleep...and really it's quite annoying because you know you have to do the whole labor and sleepless nights for months on end anyways, you'd think you'd get the best sleep of your life while growing a person, but you don't. I don't think I slept more than 4 hours during the last month or two.

You could try elevating your feet...maybe it would help :) I always just figured it was me and my complete inability to nap at all....sorry I'm no help I know.

Benadryl is your friend. Preggo safe, and I used to use them as sleep aids when I worked evening/nights/doubles lol

Sadly I am a freak of nature and Benadryl doesn't make me sleepy! Same goes for anything that uses that ingredient like Tylenol PM! I'm broken I know!!

He will be more than company. He'll be the reason you are up.

OMG, Weirdo!!! Well, I did my civic duty and tried! Is it wrong that when I was a total insomniac during pregnancy I would wake the cat up to keep me company? Ok, really just to pick her up and take her with me lol but still.

Yep, totally normal pregnancy thing. I seriously consider it training for when the baby comes and you don't get much sleep...or at least not much at one time.
Don't force yourself to stay in bed. Get up, find a comfy spot to sit, read a little and/or have a light snack. When you feel sleepy, go back to bed. Lying there will only make it worse.

you mean you've gotten sleep during pregnancy?? I was the same towards theend... ohhh and when I'd switch sides Chris said I grunted like an old man, I'd get stuck on my back and he'd help give me a shove If you're tired during the day have a nap and just get up and about if you arent sleepy. I was too lazy and I'd stay in bed because it was nice and warm. We have music on at night though so I'd listen to the music.

With Kaelin the OB gave me a prescription for Ambien. Wonderful stuff. This time I've stuck to benadryl or phenergan since I still get up with Kaelin.
