That is interesting..

I have a good friend that is a founder and operates a SIDS foundation. She lost her daughter that was almost 8 months old..  frown

8 months> wow, I never hear about this happening to bigger babies liek that, usually tiny abbies unable to roll over and move about. So sad, all aorund. I hope they figure something out that can really help.

New safer form of SSRI or something similar would have to be formed to treat the low serotonin levels. 

But they could at least test for reduced serotonin level so that parents could purchase the angel monitors or something like that.

Not only did their baby die, but she died at a day care during nap time...  frown I cannot even imagine..

I know someone who lost a 6 month old to SIDS... very sad!!!

A friend of a friend lost their first born on his frist day of daycare to SIDS... I would have died... literally.

 clap Thank you for sharing; anything that can help lead to answers about true cases of SIDS is great news.  Just a piece of information you may not know, any unexplained infant death is labeled "SIDS" so they're not all related to crib death.  In fact, studies indicate that 1 in every 15 SIDS incidents is actually aspiration.
