So tell me.  Are these just a part of having babies, or are they caused by not putting the diaper on tight enough? Diaper being too big? Small?

Help?

I've found that Maria has been leaking (poop of course) out the sides of her diapers.  Now she's been really active with her legs, swinging them and stuff, which I'm sure has something to do with it.

We're using Pampers Baby Dry, but I did notice that the few samples of the Cruisers didn't have ANY issues.   And also, we've used huggies, and those were great too, but we still have the same problems.  Oh, and she's wearing size 4s.

Thoughts?  (sorry if this is so all over the place).

Maddy has a blow out everyday. We're also using Baby Dry size 4. She was in 3s and I thought it was b/c they were getting small but going to 4s didn't help. Sean didn't have as many issues with this. ..so I don't really know.  lol

How much does she weigh? Have you tried 5's?

lol she's 19.5 lbs.  (size 4s are 22-27lbs)   I don't think I'm mentally ready to try 5's yet! lol

We haven't tried 3's in a very long time because she needed the bigger diaper because of her diuretics---she'd pee you right on out of the room.

I'm wondering if it has to do with her moving around so much.  Maybe I just need to try a different diaper (oh, and we've used BRU brand size 4s and they are HUGE (still have blow outs but mostly UP the back, not out the sides).

With Juliet it usually meant that she had grown out of that size. I found teh cruizers WAY better than the baby Dry...

Kaelin used the cruisers until she hit a size 4 then we switched to baby dry because there are more in a box. So maybe give the cruisers another shot?

Yeah, I've been thinking to try the cruisers.  I just had a few samples when I bought her box of baby dry.

I prefer the Baby Dry because it seems like the Cruisers REEK of pee if there is even a drop in them.  But really, every baby is shaped differently so that makes a big difference as to which ones work the best for everyone.

I did find with both boys I had to go up a size way before the package said.  Ian is just now 27 lbs but has been out of 4's for awhile now.

Jackson never, ever had a blowout, but we still preferred Cruisers over Baby Dry.

I don't know what causes it...when they're massively soaked in the morning I move them up to the next size. Audrey was fine in Huggies up until a month or month and a half ago, and then every poo was up her back. It sucked big time. Then pee started leaking out the leg holes (which is what always happened to Eli) so I gave up on them, I'd used all my good coupons anyway lol Went to Baby Dry. Which were ok unless she pooped while in her exersaucer or jumper and then it was all up her back again  tongue So I went to Swaddlers even though the scrooge in me was dying at paying more for less diapers, but they've been fine.

OMG I hate when Maddy poops in her exersaucer. I run to get her out at the first sign b/c it always goes up her back.  sick

We never really had blow outs. Maybe once in a blue moon . . . Leaks usually meant that it was time to move up to the next size. Both m y kids wore Huggies until they moved into pull ups b/c that's what Costco carried and that was the cheapest. I had no issues with them.

I also had to move them up to the next size before the package said to, as well.

Mommy to Riley and Grayson

« Reply #13 on: January 20, 2010, 09:23:09 AM »

I ask the same question.....Grayson leaks through his Huggies daily. The Pampers have never leaked but we have a closet full of Huggies that we got at our showers. I am tempted to exchange them for the Pampers but diapers fit each child different. Huggies Naturals fit Riley really good but the Pampers are too small and the Pampers fit Grayson really good but he leaks through the Huggies......I refuse to buy a different brand for each baby  lmao

I would have never thought about needing a different diaper for each kiddo Karen, that stinks!!

We never had much problem unless it was time to switch sizes or I tried to be cheap and buy luvs or huggies cause they were on sale or I got them at cosco.

I hate huggies, they never fit either of my kids right. Pampers were OK but I am too cheap to buy them....

I was using the costco brand until just recently, I went to Pampers baby dry, because they were actually a few cents cheaper on diapers.com.
I think the costco one's were actually better, they would last better through the night.  Lately the pampers have been getting SOAKED, and have leaked.
From what you are all saying, I might try the cruisers.

Its so funny, its almost a definate thing when I put Chance in his exersaucer he poops!  Every time if I had to go somewhere, and he hadn't pooped in a while, I'd put him in that and sure enough 10 mins later he'd gone! lol  Tonight he went in his jumperoo... that was not such a great experience.  Major blow out  lmao  Sorry, I just had to share that.  Maybe when potty training starts, I'll just put him in that and cut a hole in the crotch.  lol
