Forums cost money - hosting, ads and marketing and hopefully down the road more giveaways/contests like the one we did a few months ago.  I've happily spent personal funds on hosting and google but that's becoming more daunting as we grow. With that in mind we are making some changes...

We're adding some ad banners to the site within the next few days. They are all hand selected by Ashley and me and will be tasteful and appropriate, we promise.  We are also setting up a way you can donate to the forum as an "FTM Supporter".  You will get a custom title and special stars, access to a supporters only forum, no ads and maybe other stuff that we haven't figured out yet.  

Donation is NOT required as a member of the forum - and never will be. Other than the supporters only forum, all access to the boards will work the same as always. It's just a way to help us out if you want to opt out of the ads.  You can also help us out by clicking through the link at the top of the forum when you shop on Amazon, and by promoting us on your blog, facebook, twitter and other places.

The ads will probably be in place a few days to a week before the "FTM support" features are completed, so please be patient with us as we grow.  As always, thank you for being the best forum members on earth, and making this place the friendly, safe and successful forum it is today.

You can now become an FTM supporter....  the ads are taking awhile to get organized so I went ahead with this.  I was trying to install an app to automate the process, but gave up... the thing just would NOT install.

SO - there is a shiny new Paypal button at the bottom of the main page. If you wish to donate, click on it and go through the steps... PLEASE make sure you put your user ID in the notes so I know who to add to the Supporter membergroup.

Be patient with me please, since this is not automated I will have to manually add everyone to the membergroup and there might be a small lagtime if I'm at work or asleep or something.   

Remember - donation is TOTALLY optional and you are still a full member of the board if you can't or don't wish to donate at this time. 

 

And speaking of amazon, how do I know that I'm supporting FTM?  (is there a way to tell other than clicking the link? )

I think if you click the link it will have FTM somewhere in the address bar.
